Look. Isn’t it one of the most profound statements upon the planet? Take your eyes and fix them upon an object and then tell me the words, the thoughts, the cascade of memories or the lack of remembrance due to you never seeing nor noticing the object before.

Perspective plays a part; it moves your mind and emotions toward a certain positive or negative bent. Was it the last experience you had concerning the object? Whether inanimate or animal or person or thing or a thought hung by a picture frame.

A book, a hook, did it help you or hurt you? Did it disappoint you? Did it exceed your expectations? The objects of our affection, they have an effect.

Scripture declares the effectual prayers of a righteous man availed much. Effectual. Ever prayed and felt as though your prayers were not heard? Not even considered, like they fell on deaf ears?

Like your request did not matter? As James said, as though, “you pray amiss.” See you are not alone in these prayers. We have all fallen short. The short fall. Almost like a baby desiring to ask for something they think they need. They don’t truly comprehend what they need, they simply are in discomfort.
