O’ How I Long for You, O’ Place of Covenant

O’ How I Long for You, O’ Place of Covenant

By Shannan Humphrey

O’ how I long for you, o place of covenant. The place of my birth. The place where my purpose and calling were established in the Heavens and the earth. I hear the cries of your children. Who is he that hears the silence of their yearning?

Who heard and attuned an ear. Who hears from a distance and sends aid in the spirit. Words that men cannot utter but a son committed to the maiden. Who is the answer, who is the missing piece. In their absence their words still speak. In the volumes of the book His word has spoken it.

The prayers prayed; the tears cried to water the seed within the house. Who is he that is worthy? Who hath the Lord prepared for such a work. To whom hath the Lord attributed the link. Who hath profaned all those against her?

Who stands in the dark and professes the light. Who hath faith like he that hath not known her place of honor yet sits there in the spirit. Who hath been denied her honor but attributed dishonor as honor for her and the household.

If loving her is wrong, I don’t want to be right. How have you married me unto her O Holy Spirit, like a maiden given unto a man in marriage. She is a maiden with many spots, many blemishes, yet his utter desire is to remove all the dust from her hair, her eyes, her ears, the smell of the earth and the mud upon her lips.

By his hand and all hands of the house to assure the removal of the “life” she once knew. The death from which she came, but now beginning to see the Life only found in the Kingdom of Life. Head my words o’ maiden of mine! I shall never leave you nor forsake you! Giving my treasure to another is like committing adultery against you.

Shall I give the treasure of My father’s house to a harlot, to another not of my family. I shall dance with the ones that brought me! Who can hear my words, who understands my language? Is it not my own countrymen and the sister of my own Father and Mother? Shall not their hearing be confounded when they hear my words.

The foreigners to the North. Do you hear me O maiden, open your ears and hear my words. I would die for you and already have. My old man has been accounted twice dead, he hath been dead in trespass and sin, and buried in water, dead to me, and now accounted as cursed and hanging there, from my treasured tree of life.

Look upon him and all his adulterous ways! He is an offense to both you and me! He is no more. He has been marked out for all condemnation and I shall rejoice at his end. But for now, o’ diadem like Your mother, I shall speak my words in the spirit and they shall sustain you! I here in this place of proving, I shall return to you.

I shall provoke those of your own household to be jealous. They shall not know your suitor. They speak their words over you, but they have not known the words I have spoken of you in secret! I speak words in their midst not being present, hear my love letters, the volumes, and the volume of them. They, because they have not known me, speak I’ll of you but soon very soon my presence shall be known.

I shall even provoke the fire in your father! I know that fire, for I am of it! I shall stir him up! I shall provoke them all! I shall speak words on your behalf, they shall not know nor understand what I’m doing but they lost the fire and settled for water.

I shall kindle the fire; I shall raise a torrent! I may be slain, but my words shall remain! They shall cause the Lord to respond to make a distinction. They shall think I’m fighting against, but I am fighting for the former glory that they and their children have become O’ How I Long for You, O’ Place of Covenant complacent in. They eat the good of the land and have not known war.

Like silver spooned children, spoiled children not respecting the greatness of the house for its all they’ve known. I shall not pierce them through, I shall cause their flesh and their carnal mindedness to reveal itself in their midst! I shall uncover their lack of understanding not to destroy, but to save them.

What will they say unto me? What will the nations say of me? I am a son born of that very household, their father my father, their mother my mother, their brother my brother, their sister my sister, who shall raise a reviling accusation against a son of the household, who hath been raised in hardship for their sake! Hath the Lord not known this time would come?!

Hath I not known it from my beginning?! Most certainly. More so now than ever before. O maiden of mine, I am now not seen, not known, but soon seen and known and revealed to their eyes that have been lulled to sleepiness. I shall awaken the army I shall cause the alarm to be sounded!

There shall be no help of the Lord provided them from my attacks. I shall soften the blows; I shall use the blunt side of my sword! I shall check them with my shield, I shall disarm them and put my teeth at their necks, and I shall smile and say see, consider your weakness, the adversary is not lenient nor slack nor merciful, prepare yourselves for battle.

O’ mighty army! I have declared it from the beginning! O maiden fear not for your soldier is coming home! I shall call out to their great amongst them! I shall have them on their heels, I shall bait them, privately and publicly. They shall not know the cause. Is there not a cause? The children of your own household?

Our children and our children’s children! Shall not our name our tribe our household be held in high esteem in the Kingdom set apart for us! I shall awaken the giants upon them and then I shall hand them over like futility! I shall be justified by my mother. She shall not allow any to be at peace, she shall withhold it from them for our sake O’ Daughter of the Most – High.

Our Father shall either embrace my neck and give me what is due to me or I shall whisk you and your anointing your fragrance away with me to the North. My desire is that he bless our marriage our covenant, but if he does not, I shall not leave one error uncovered, not one spot blemish shall be hidden from sight. My desire is to preserve honor, but I cannot allow further spotting of your marriage garment.

The Holy Spirit declaring like Rachel, Rachel weeping, refusing to be comforted for her children are no more. I shall not stand for it, I shall not turn a blind eye, I will if needed lay my earthen life down for you o’ covenanted one.

Many have tried to have you who have been given unto me. I thank your spiritual dad for preparing you for me. Despite his hesitance and the doubt that I am your beloved.

Your beauty has never forsaken my sight, to be in your midst without any position was beauty, how much the more to be wed unto you. Strongest oath that I shall prepare you for the Lord of glory to the utter best of me and all who is in the house.

Love conquers all including those who would keep us apart. I desire to bow the knee to give all my armor, my trusted sword, my valiant shield, my breastplate impenetrable, my shoes that can be trusted, bearing the bruises, my helmet to reveal unto them my face. For a time, they may think of an enemy, but wisdom is my banner.

They shall experience the strength of this ox and the plow that I pull, slicing through their earthen men and women their carnality. I shall separate them, and they shall hate me first, then love me later! As for me and our household, we shall serve the Lord and His children.

We shall not be ashamed or disgraced by our adversary. You are already under my covering, the canopy of my tree of life and I am grafted into the King Supreme a faithful soldier. They shall taste the fruits of war and the army shall come forth! Whether an army of one or an army of many I shall be warring with those I love for your sake o’ beautiful maiden.

Give me your blessing o’ prepared of the Lord and His Most Magnificent Holy Spirit. Where will they seek safety, the clefts of rocks shall reject them. Not gonna lie it’s gonna be nice to see my dad, your dad, come out and meet me upon the battlefield. I wonder if he’ll know that there will be a smile on my face underneath my helmet.

O’ the days when he burned like fire, such a flame to behold! He shall be provoked and stoked to remember! He shall hear the clanging of our swords and then he shall see my thrust, my slash, my attack, my pulling of punches, he shall see the similarity in our combat and then hopefully when he realizes he’s fighting himself he’ll realize he’s fighting his son.

Born of his spirit, one of his own lions, born, prepared in secret for such a time as this, when he needs one such as me! When enough is enough, and I have bested his best, then maybe then he will consider this good thing the Lord hath done. How earnestly I have prayed, hoped against immeasurable hopelessness.

I am who I was birthed to be! I hope he has ears to hear and eyes to see, so that many shall be spared, and an open spectacle of our house shall not bring shame unto us my love. But it is not right that they have you, you are my promise, and I yours. Pray for me my love for the battle is about to ensue! I shall bring you my shield or I will be on it!

Either way you know what I say is true I shall never be ashamed of you even unto death of this flesh and even my purpose. For if I have laid this life down for you, I have died a glorious death for the sake of you who gave me life, love, and this glorious gift. Pray for them my love, let us find agreement, that they come to their right mind.

I have withheld the declaration, withheld the engagement and tried to have peace talks but I am afraid they have not bothered. I shall be a thorn not easily removed, a spur in their saddle, a boat without paddle. Is there any chance of being heard without putting on my armor? I have tried, they don’t listen, they hide behind walls so easily torn down.

Wall builders. Preserving the anointing, they the security 8 or 10 of them thought I was a physical threat when I gave Ryan the letter. Jumped lil’ ol’ me. It’s not my body that’s to be considered the spirit of war within it! Even reading this today tomorrow in the future or after I’m gone. I’ve left it as proof it was for their sake not my own.

How many must forsake them before they know wolves in sheep clothing. I shall behave like a wolf, I shall scatter them, I shall strip the shepherd and his shepherds naked and then gather those I scattered and then clothe the shepherds in greater apparel than they have ever known! They like the Lord then shall know my love for them! Wounds of a brother for the sake of his brothers.

A brothers love to his father’s children. A disruption caused by their dishonor of the one whom God has chosen to be the torch not just carry it! Provoke me o’ carnality, speak your words unto my hearing. By the authority and power, I have been given by My Father, provoke my spirit to hostility, ignite my indignation and I shall be quenched like my father before me.

Pray for your children o’ father and mother of the house for when you pray for them you pray the more on my behalf! For I am Most for them! Their fulfillment, their birthright, their inheritance hangs in the balance, and I shall tip the scales greatly in their favor. Stand down o’ tribal leaders or the Lord shall war against you.

This is not your dispute; touch me I’ll touch you back! Make no mistake, speak evil of our family affairs and I’ll reach out and touch you also! This is between myself and my family! Steven, one born of water, your brother of fire is about to enter the arena, sister hold! Your words are about to be fulfilled!

Father’s mother let’s not fight let’s reason amongst ourselves! I shall not be ignored. If you will not consider it my shoes are strapped, my belt is cinched, my shield is secured in my left hand, my breastplate is like hardened scales, my sword turns all about trained in the art of carnal war, many have met their demise, it has caused bowing of knees and confounded the beasts of the field, it is a short sword for the sake of brutal combat face to face so I see the distress in their eyes, the  cause for pause, when they realize the fire in the eyes of the one under the helmet.

I desire peace, but I shall bring the fire!

It will consume all its foes. I stand poised to strike the very flesh from your eyes and ears, I shall do fine surgery removing all carnality from your words despite your desire. I shall make a mockery of the very foundations you’ve built that house upon.

Firebrand ha – I am the fire the one spoken of in days of old. A manifestation of the consuming fire, I shall burn up the very stubble in your midst. You’ll wonder what has happened when calamity befalls the house, is it not right that I do with my things what I desire?

You think it’s yours or another’s? I think it’s mine, let God be true and every man a liar, for what is a man, to a son! I’m not fearful to do harm to this that you all are doing, you all provoke us to weakness, I have been more than patient, and God Himself shall release me upon you.

Not for harm for correction. Is there no need for righting, you know there is need you just don’t know who has the answer. It’s already been given to me, but if you won’t hear me, it’s certain you will not hear it.

You can’t discern my love for you or the house. Ryan is right enough. I’m so worn out by all Saul’s whether David or Paul, so saddened by the inability. You have all elected now it’s Gods elect to stand up in your midst. Not gonna hide nor cover nakedness anymore.

Regards, Shan
