Go Slow My Lord

Go Slow My Lord

By Shannan Humphrey

Go slow my Lord. Wait upon me, see my feet are lame. My legs lack strength. My feeble knees shake and knock. My thighs have not brought forth their power. My waist is fastened by a string.

In my belly are found the pods of pigs.

In my lungs there is a shortness of breath. In my heart deceit. My arms hang down and they barely lack strength to beg a morsel.

My neck is weak and hangs my head low. It causes my chin to close my mouth. In my mouth there are not found words to resist. My lips have been dry and chapped. New wine has forsaken their touch. They are like desert sand in the strength of their heat.

My tongue has lost its way. My throat is an empty tomb. My tongue sticks to the roof of its abode. Its breath is like a vile infection. My nostrils smell the stench of decay.

Death is always present. Its pathways are dry, and their senses are unused. In their caverns are found the refusal of health.

My eyes are like the eyes set in the sockets of the pit. My eyelids are barely split, and they detect the light through them, but they are not open. Like the redness of the sky dark and threatening.

My forehead is like a wasteland of woe. There are thoughts sown in hopelessness, and greater seeds sown in ground never yet tended.

My mind awaits my demise, my end is certain. My soul is refusing and the way of the world is its safety. Yet I hear what safety?

I try to cover my eyes, my ears and my mind from seeing its true condition. The unconditioned state of mortal men. Walking if it can, talking if it has a tongue, an abomination.

In it there is no law, it desires its own. If it can overcome, it will. If it steals and robs it justifies. If it does harm to one for the sake of the other, it does so proudly. Where is its righteousness, wherewith stands its glory.

Sickness disease virus antivirus breath and lack of it. It’s the greatest number 120? The Glory of mere men? In their day? 1000 years NO!

Barely over ten percent!! They shall gain the wholeness of the world, through birth being the alpha on the earth but subject to its ways it’s laws it’s hostility, the ways of men who came before them.
