O’ My Father Let Not Your Fury be Turned from Me.

O’ My Father Let Not Your Fury
be Turned from Me.

By Shannan Humphrey

O’ my Father, let not Your fury be turned from me. Look upon the weakness and impurity that is upon me. A representation of all the carnal offspring that came before me. Those who hath not been born of You.

Those that profane Your Name, claim Your Covenant, then continue in their shame, thinking they contribute that shame unto You. I do not contribute that shame, that sin, that iniquity, that transgression unto me.

But unto the one whom the earthen named. He is to blame, those of his brethren know his name and the many, many sins. In him I do not trust, in him lusts for greed and terror! In him death and destruction, he hath not known Your words, nor understood them. How could he, he is of the world.

Your words are of Heaven. He heard the words the claims of those who claim Your Name. What does one do when they realize their claim is untrue? That while they are the teachers, they themselves need to be instructed.

How do you tell Your children that they have mistaken in listening. How could they discern the difference, they are babes in the spirit. Does a newborn babe understand the words of their parents from the womb? Have a baby’s words been formed? They cry out when they are in need or in pain.

When they cry out, they are not in need of being made clean. Are they not in need of pure milk? Are they not in need of Comfort, Tenderness, and Safety from the elements that are a threat to their very lives.
